Nova was a compositional piece that was created as part of my audio unit.
The piece was composed for a cut scene from the game Mass Effect, it was composed to reflect loss, loneliness, sadness and hope from the point of view of Shepard, the games protagonist.
What I learnt from this project:
Compositional theory within the use of tempo, key, volume and meter.
Music synchronisation to a visual reference.
Composition in Reason.
